Australia Snow, Cheap Places, Deals, Gear Hire ?

Hi
I live in Aus so any one that lives in Aus and goes down to perisher please help
I want to go down the snow for a weekend in August/ early September ( Haven’t got dates yet )
I will be trying snowboarding, I surf, wakeboard, skate, and have tryed skiing before, so I am fine without getting lessons.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any places to stay, that cheap ish ?

I will need to hire everything except a jacket and gloves haha if you know any good places to hire ? That’s reasonably cheap ?

And can anyone recommend where to go like perisher ? smiggens ? and deals ?
