SURFBOARD EXTREME BROADBAND CABLE MODEM

Internet Problems. Constantly disconnected.?

I have broadband cable internet with a modem the cable company provided me (Motorola SB4200 surfboard cable modem) hooked up to a linksys wireless-b router 2.4ghz with 3 other computers hooked into the router through cables. The computer with the cable modem and router is an old dell. The 3 other computers are custom built made for extreme gaming.

Got 3 gaming computers running at night all on online games using internet. We loose internet more than several times a night. when the internet is finally working there is a poor connection and lots of latency.

Anyone know what could be causing this and any solutions to this problem?

Call your internet provider. If you cant get help or they keep leading you around,(If your not in a plan) just say your about to switch providers. You should get some help then and/or maybe a better deal on your bill. If you dont get a good response, then they arent that good of a company.
