how do I pick the right fins to fit my surfboard?

I have an fcs tri-fin system and it’s a 7′2” surfboard that is wider than the average board. It is not a nose rider it has a pointed nose. It is a longer fish style board. How do I pick the right types of fins? Are they all the same? Are there different sizes?

I have 43 years of surfing experience, and I couldn’t make a good recommendation with that much information. Go to a good local surf (or shop wherever you usually surf). Too many people give recommendations on this site that are off the wall, and I fear that some poor folks listen to this drivel. I see some of the nit wit answers they pick as “Best Answer”. Take you surfing questions to local shops, not a bunch of teenagers on line.

Also, I can tell by the question you are a bit of a noobie. Take the time to rap with the people in the shop, and talk to other surfers on the beaches where you surf. That is where you get real surf information, not YA Answers.
