What is the best way to get a tour of the galapagos by tall ship? what season 4 the most animal encounters?

I would like answers from people who have been there. Who have maybe “backpacked” kinda picked up a multi day tour while they were in ecuador. How to grab a ship? best time to go?

When I went, my family and several other families chartered a boat called The Eclipse with the travel agency Abercrombie & Kent. If you can afford it, I would definitely suggest going on a boat with a distinguished travel agency or group, maybe a National Geographic sponsored trip or with an agency like A&K.

About the best time to go, Ecuador gets its name because it’s right on the equator. In fact, you’ll probably cross the equator while in the Islands, and when you’re on the equator, there are no seasons. Everything is the same year-round.
